Exam scheduling Closed beta

Plan exam dates around the student’s training and instructor.

Link theory and practical exams to the correct training record and record the time and location. Practical exams also need an instructor in the schedule; registration with the testing organisation still takes place through its external portal.

Attach the date to the correct training record

For a student taking more than one licence class, a calendar entry with their name leaves too much unclear. Open the relevant training record, choose theory or practical, and enter the time, location and examining organisation. The date then belongs to that specific exam attempt. For example, schedule a theory exam for one class while the student’s other training continues. Check the selected class and existing attempts before saving. Your internal plan describes the school’s arrangements; registration with the testing organisation remains a separate step.

Include the practical exam in the instructor’s schedule

On exam day, the accompanying instructor needs to know when they are assigned to the student. Assign an instructor when scheduling a practical exam; RoadReview creates a linked calendar appointment for instructor and student. Theory exams appear in the student’s calendar. The exam attempt therefore keeps its time slot, rather than living only in a separate note. Practical exams require an appropriate instructor assignment. Review the wider schedule afterwards: creating that appointment does not mean every resource needed for the day has already been arranged.

Review the portal status alongside your internal arrangements

An external status change can prompt questions even when your internal date is already set. With TÜV Nord access configured, you can associate its read-only portal status with the student and consider it alongside your exam arrangements. For example, check that the displayed status belongs to the right person and resolve discrepancies in the portal. The external status is visible, while internal scheduling and result entry remain separate workflows. We discuss access and matching during closed beta onboarding. RoadReview does not submit registrations to the portal.

Requirements and boundaries

Other examining organisations need a separate connection; the available status view relates to TÜV Nord.

Frequently asked questions

Can scheduling also create a planned service entry?

Optionally, scheduling can create a service entry. Your exam settings must first reference a suitable item from the service catalogue. A planned service entry is not an issued invoice.

Do I need to assign an instructor to a theory exam?

Instructor assignment is required for practical exams. Scheduling a theory exam does not create an instructor appointment through that assignment; the exam appears in the student calendar. Arrange any supervision needed for your particular exam day separately.
