Exam attempts Closed beta

Keep each exam attempt and its result in view.

Record theory and practical attempts separately within each training record. Earlier attempts remain visible when planning another, including for students taking several licence classes; correct an inaccurate result on the attempt it belongs to.

Keep the first attempt visible when scheduling the second

After an unsuccessful exam, the office needs the previous attempt to put the next date in context. Select the same training record and phase, then create a new exam attempt. RoadReview assigns the next attempt number; the earlier record keeps its result. For example, a failed theory attempt is followed by a new date with its result initially open. The overview contains both events. Correct training selection matters: an attempt for another licence class or for the practical phase should not be treated as a continuation of that theory exam.

Record the result against the exam that took place

A result passed on verbally can leave everyone unsure which appointment it belongs to. Open the relevant attempt, record passed or failed, and add a result note if needed. The entry keeps the result, recording time and recording instructor together. This helps when handing information from exam day to the office and answering a later question about the student’s status. The actual result must be confirmed first. An open attempt remains open; neither a date in the past nor an internal booking proves that the student passed.

Correct the result on the affected attempt

If a result was entered against the wrong attempt or recorded incorrectly, you should not need to recreate the training history. Review the affected attempt and correct its result with a suitable note. RoadReview considers the effect on completion of that training phase, including any other passed attempts in the same phase. You can then review the exam overview and training progress together. First make sure you have identified the right record. During closed beta onboarding, you can agree how your school will handle result entry and corrections.

Requirements and boundaries

Portal status and internally recorded results are separate data sources.

Frequently asked questions

Do theory and practical attempts share one numbering sequence?

No. Attempt numbers are assigned within each training record and phase. The first practical attempt does not take the next theory attempt number; a parallel training record also has its own sequence.

Can I cancel an attempt after recording its result?

An attempt with a recorded result cannot be removed through cancellation. Cancellation is intended for exams whose result is still open. If the result is incorrect, correct it on the affected attempt.
