1. Overview
roadreview.de uses no tracking cookies, no marketing cookies, and no third-party pixels. There is no cross-device profile building, and no personal data is shared with advertising or analytics providers.
The only cookies that may be set during your visit are strictly necessary for the operation of the site (for example spam protection on the contact form). They are permitted without consent under § 25 (2)(2) German TTDSG, which mirrors the ePrivacy Directive's exception for technically necessary storage.
2. Web analytics — cookieless via Rybbit
For anonymous analytics we use the open-source tool
Rybbit, self-hosted at
rybbit.internal.thecodecave.de. Rybbit works
without cookies, without local or session
storage, and without cross-device recognition in the browser.
To recognise anonymous sessions, the server creates a daily rotating, salted hash of the IP address and user agent; the IP address itself is not stored. No data is shared with third parties.
As a result, there is no „storage on" or „access to" information on your device within the meaning of § 25 (1) TTDSG, so no consent banner is required. The legal reasoning is documented in our internal decision record dated 30 April 2026 (see Privacy § 4).
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The following cookies may be set when you visit roadreview.de. They serve the technical operation of the site only and are permitted without consent under § 25 (2)(2) TTDSG.
As of today, we set no other cookies. If our cookie usage changes (for example through new features), we will update this table and the „last updated" date above.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can inspect, delete or block cookies in your browser at any time. The exact steps are described in the help section of your browser („manage cookies"). Because roadreview.de uses no tracking cookies, blocking strictly necessary cookies only matters when you want to submit the contact form; otherwise the website's functionality is unchanged.
