Upgrade from A2 or direct entry — both routes modelled
Class A can be reached two ways: as a staged upgrade after two years of class A2 (then a practical exam only) or as direct entry at 24 (theory and practice). RoadReview models both as separate enrolments on the same student profile and stores the A2 prerequisite.
- A enrolment on the same profile as A1/A2
- A2 prerequisite stored and visible
- Theory requirements calculated per access route
Special drives on the unrestricted motorcycle
Practical class A training covers basic manoeuvres and special drives (overland, motorway, night). RoadReview counts recorded drives per type and pins notes to the route via geo-feedback. The binding required quantities come from the licence-class catalogue.
- Counts per drive type with correction and history
- Geo-feedback per drive instead of paper notes
- Required quantities from the class catalogue, class-specific
Exam and digital training record
Exams are managed per enrolment: date, attempt, result. Direct entry includes theory and practice; the upgrade is a practical exam only. The training record is produced digitally as a PDF with your school letterhead.
- Exam attempts with date, location and result
- Digital training record as a PDF with letterhead
- Exam-readiness score as guidance — a recommendation, not a guarantee

Frequently asked questions
From what age is class A possible?
Direct entry to class A is possible from 24; the staged upgrade after two years of class A2 is possible from 20. RoadReview stores the applicable access route per enrolment.
Does the upgrade from A2 need a theory exam?
No. If you have held class A2 for two years, you upgrade with a practical exam only. RoadReview calculates the theory requirements accordingly and focuses the training on practice.
How are class A special drives tracked?
The app records drives per type (overland, motorway, night) and counts them against the required quantities stored in the licence-class catalogue. Exact counts come from the catalogue; manual corrections are kept with history.
Can A1, A2 and A be managed on one profile?
Yes. Through the three-level data model, one student profile holds several enrolments — A1, A2 and A build on one another, including the documented prior class.
