Class BE Closed beta

Document class BE combination training. Trailers and combinations.

RoadReview is the driving-school software for class BE training — the add-on to class B for heavy trailers and combinations. Because class BE needs no separate theory exam, the focus is on practical training, the exam and the training record.

An add-on to class B

Class BE requires a valid class B and extends it to heavy trailers. RoadReview models this via its three-level data model: one student profile can hold both B and BE — the BE enrolment builds cleanly on the existing training.

  • BE as its own enrolment on the same student profile
  • The class B prerequisite is stored and visible
  • Vehicle assignment incl. matching trailers in the fleet

No theory exam — practice in focus

No separate theory exam is required for class BE. RoadReview therefore centres the training on practice: drives are recorded, rated and evaluated per student. Any class-specific requirements come from the licence-class catalogue.

  • Practical drives with rating and history per student
  • Geo-feedback and mistake analysis, as for class B
  • Requirements taken from the catalogue, not assumed

Practical training and a digital training record

The practical exam is managed per enrolment: date, attempt, result. Learning progress is visible from the documented drives, and the training record is produced digitally as a PDF with your school letterhead — audit-ready instead of a paper file.

  • Practical exam with date, location and result
  • Learning progress from the documented drives
  • Exam-readiness score as guidance — a recommendation, not a guarantee

Frequently asked questions

Does class BE need a theory exam?

No. Class BE requires no separate theory exam. RoadReview therefore focuses the training on practice and manages only the practical exam per enrolment.

What is the prerequisite for class BE?

Class BE requires a valid class B. In RoadReview this is modelled with one profile holding both class B and BE — the BE enrolment builds on the existing training.

What may you drive with class BE?

Class BE allows combinations of a class B tractor vehicle and a trailer over 750 kg up to 3,500 kg of the trailer’s maximum mass — heavier trailers and combinations than class B alone.

Is the exam-readiness score for BE a guarantee of passing?

No. The exam-readiness score is an orientation value derived from documented drives — a recommendation, not a guarantee. The instructor decides on booking the exam.
