Handle student emails in your school inbox.
Associate emails with students, continue enquiries in the same thread and review replies with attachments as drafts before sending. Archive and read status help with follow-up. Sending and receiving require mailbox and email provider setup, checked during beta onboarding.
Continue an enquiry in the associated student thread
A student emails to ask which documents they need for registration. Open the relevant thread and review its student association before replying. The conversation provides context for the question; you can prepare your answer in the same thread and check subsequent replies there. This keeps the work connected to the right person. It requires a configured school inbox with working inbound and outbound email. Associating a message with a student records its context; it does not replace checking the actual recipient before sending your reply.
Review the content and attachments in a draft first
If you need to send a document, for example, start by creating a draft in the appropriate thread. Review the recipient, text and attached files before using the configured sending path. You can remove an attachment from the draft if it is no longer appropriate. This lets you finish the actual message without treating preparation as completed delivery. It requires the relevant files and an established outbound email setup. We discuss configuration and check the sending workflow for your school during closed-beta onboarding.
Separate completed threads from enquiries still needing attention
An answered enquiry should not demand the same attention as a new question. Use read status to review incoming messages and archive a thread once your team has completed the work. If a later question arises, search the archive for the existing conversation and review its history again. This distinguishes current inbox work from conversations you have filed away. It depends on an agreed team practice: marking a thread as read does not itself mean it has been answered, and archiving should reflect your actual decision about the work.
Requirements and boundaries
Delivery status does not confirm that an email has been read.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove an attachment before sending?
Yes. Attachments are managed on the draft and can be removed there. Review the remaining files and recipient before sending the message.
Where can I find an email conversation that has been archived?
Use the archive view or search for the relevant thread. You can review the existing conversation again when a later question arises.
