DATEV export

Also known as: DATEV interface · EXTF export · DATEV-Export

A DATEV export produces a posting batch in the DATEV format (formerly EXTF) as CSV, usually bundled with receipt PDFs, for import at the tax adviser. It is a plain file export, not a direct cloud transfer to DATEV.

DATEV is the dominant accounting ecosystem used by German tax advisers, and the DATEV export is the classic bridge between driving-school software and the accountant. Instead of re-keying entries, the software exports a posting batch in the DATEV format (the CSV structure formerly carried the “EXTF” marker) that the practice imports into DATEV.

Typical export settings:

  • Chart of accounts SKR03 or SKR04, account length, fiscal year.
  • Revenue accounts per VAT rate, collective or individual debtor.
  • Adviser and client number, gross/net, write-protection flag.

In RoadReview the posting batch is bundled as CSV together with the matching receipt PDFs in a ZIP file for download; a double-handover guard prevents the same invoice being passed twice.

An important boundary: RoadReview offers a file export (download), not a direct API or cloud transfer to DATEV. The file is imported manually by the practice.
